Dedrick L. Adell

I started Holistiq Planning because I believe most people deserve more than a transaction. They deserve a partner who will sit with them, listen to what they actually want their money to do, and help them build something that is truly theirs.

My path to financial planning was anything but traditional, and I think that is exactly what shaped the way I work. I grew up in Blytheville, Arkansas, and after graduating high school I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. That experience gave me a foundation of discipline, purpose, and commitment to service that I carry into every client relationship to this day.

After my military service, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Management and Finance from Park University. My pursuit of education did not stop there. I went on to earn a Bachelor of Divinity in Pastoral Leadership from Andersonville Theological Seminary, graduating Summa Cum Laude, followed by a Master of Arts in Ministry and a Master of Divinity from Luther Rice Theological Seminary. Most recently, I completed a Master of Jurisprudence in Wealth and Tax Management from the Texas A&M School of Law.

I share all of this only because I believe it explains how I think. My background in theology taught me how to listen, how to sit with someone in the middle of uncertainty, and how to help people clarify what matters most. My legal and financial education gave me the technical foundation to actually build strategies around those values. The two things together are what drive the Holistiq approach.

In addition to my formal education, I hold several professional designations including Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®), Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®), Certified Tax Specialist®, Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®), and Accredited Estate Planner (AEP®). I am an active member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA), the Financial Planning Association of Dallas Fort Worth, and the Kingdom Advisors of Dallas.

Outside of work, I serve as an Associate Minister at Friendship Baptist Church of The Colony, where I also facilitate the Grief Ministry and New Members Orientation. I am involved with the Urban League of Dallas and Fort Worth, and I remain deeply committed to the communities that shaped me.

I named this firm Holistiq because the Q stands for something. It stands for the uniqueness of every person who walks through our door and the uniqueness of everything we build for them. That is not a marketing line. It is a personal commitment.
